At Mayrah, all our abayas are cut with the same generous, comfortable width. Only the length changes from one size to another — so every woman finds the cut that falls perfectly, with no hem to alter.
How to read our sizes
The size shown on each abaya corresponds to the total length of the garment, expressed in inches.
Example: a size 56 = 56 inches in length, roughly 142 cm.

Size guidance is indicative — it also depends on the heel height you wear and the cut you prefer (just touching the floor or slightly above).
How to choose your size
- Measure yourself barefoot, back against a wall, from the top of your head to the floor.
- Choose the length you want: just touching the floor, or 2-3 cm above for more practicality.
- Add the height of your heels if you plan to wear them regularly.
- Pick the closest size from the chart above.
👉 Tip: when in doubt between two sizes, always go for the larger one. A slightly longer abaya is easier to shorten than to lengthen.

Does the width change with the size?
No. All our abayas are cut with the same generous width, regardless of the size chosen. Only the length varies.
Why are sizes given in inches?
It's the historic convention for abayas. The number directly matches the length in inches, which makes it easier to read for those familiar with them. We always show the equivalent in centimetres to help you.
I'm between two sizes — what should I do?
Go for the larger size. A slightly longer abaya (which can be adjusted) is better than one that ends up too short.
What about sets and tunics?
Sets (abaya + skirt or coordinated outfits) follow the same 52 → 62 inch size chart. For the Mei skirts alone, the chart is different: 90 → 105 cm, given directly in centimetres.
